The full architectural remodelling and the interior scheme for this Hackney Victorian period 4 bedroom townhouse originated from the idea of the ‘modular-capsulated’ living while maintaining its host’s singular architectural reading of its structure.
The multiple platforms within the house and spatial reconfiguration were achieved through the proposition of a major modern loft extension and side return, allowing sufficient space for well proportioned 1 bedroom self-contained flat at Ground and Lower Ground floor. Both furthered their own individual interior scheme style: 1 bedroom flat with built-in bespoke joinery, hidden storage, raw materials, minimal palette and splash of bold colours. While the remainder of the property boasted with repeated simple clean lines, more bold colours & sculpturally strong materials, complimented with life long collection of vintage furniture and art.
